Lawsuits and Regulations - Food Makers and Fat
Every once in a while we all do this: We read something in the news that is so stupid and disgusting that we throw up our hands and cry out: "We're doomed!" If this can happen in this country, then we're beyond hope. So ridiculous and so disrespectful of the common-sense idea of taking personal RESPONSIBILITY for your own actions.

This is one of those times...and this time I mean it. If this sort of lawsuit has success, then America really is DOOOMED!

Hey fatty, it's not your fault
Yesterday, I drove by a billboard ad for the latest Tim Hortons special. It featured a big juicy turkey-and-bacon club sandwich on a bun, with a chocolate-covered doughnut for dessert. It looked so good I felt like heading straight for the nearest Tim's.

And after I ate it all, I could sue them.

If you're someone with a serious Timbits habit, John Banzhaf is your man. He is the Ralph Nader of junk food, and he has big plans to shake down the industry. To him, the fast-food chains are Public Enemy No. 1 in the fight against obesity, which, we all know, is now an epidemic.

Lawyers put weight behind obesity cases
Attorneys who won billion-dollar judgments against cigarette makers see similar possibilities in going after fast-food restaurants; 'Food is the tobacco of the 21st century.'

Black Market Vitamins ... Coming soon to a neighborhood near you
The threat here is called ?“Codex?” and it is an international attempt to make nutrients unavailable. Once Codex becomes law, NOT EVEN A PHYSICIAN CAN PRESCRIBE NUTRIENTS AT GREATER CONCENTRATIONS THAN ARE FOUND IN FOOD. SO 1000 MG OF VITAMIN C BECOMES ILLEGAL EVEN BY PRESCRIPTION! The pharmaceutical industry realizes, quite correctly, that the healthier people are the less they need drugs. Nutrients help create and maintain health so?…?….. Codex has been defeated here in the US Congress by increasingly smaller margins over the last several years. Let?’s develop a campaign of public action based on public outrage. Millions of signatures, millions of letters, emails, public debate, Oprah, etc.. That is, to my view, the only way we stand a chance of maintaining our health freedom. And, by the way, that outrage should also include a sophisticated understanding that doctors are being prevented from offering more and more treatments while patients are being prevented from securing them. Insurance companies refuse to pay for treatments which are not drug based (think chelation) and which save vast amounts of money (think $10K for a CURATIVE course of treatment, chelation therapy, vs. $100K for a palliative course of treatment, coronary bypass surgery). Legislations and medical societies are increasingly criminalizing and restricting them (?“Practice guidelines?”). Good docs are being hunted down by state medical boards like New York?’s Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC) for preposterous ?“offenses?”?”

For example, Serafina Corsello lost her license because of alleged ?“over use of testing?” cited by INSURANCE COMPANIES, not patients. Dr. Gant lost his license because he prescribed tests in licensed laboratories OUTSIDE OF NEW YORK STATE and NOT LICENSED BY NEW YORK STATE which charges exorbitant fees for that licensing and then taxes ALL revenues of licensed labs, not just revenues for New York State residents?’ lab work. Many small labs cannot afford the fees or the outrageous taxation (without representation, by the way) so they are not licensed in this state, only in the states in which they reside. New York is the ONLY state in the Union which behaves in this way. New York State residents are harmed deeply and profoundly by being unable to receive, for example, 2 excellent early cancer detection tests called the AMAS and the DR-70. Lives are being lost and damaged, doctors are being destroyed and our rights are being swiftly eroded.

This is America? Let?’s take it back and make it the land of the Medically Free again.

Benjamin Rush, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, was a physician who said that if we lost the right to medical freedom we would shortly have no freedoms at all.

He was right.

Contact Congress Today! Tell them you simply will not put up with them selling out to the real drug cartel, the multi-national drug companies.
