London Bombing: Ex-Mossad Chief Reveals Too Much?
(Global News Matrix, July 14 2005)
How did ex-Mossad chief Efraim Halevy know that the London bombings were "multiple, simultaneous explosions" when he wrote his warmonger screed for the Jerusalem Post on July 7 -- the very same day of the London Bombing? . . . Did Halevi reveal too much operational knowledge? . . . "The multiple, simultaneous explosions that took place today on the London transportation system were the work of perpetrators who had an operational capacity of considerable scope," Halevy began. . . . Was he decribing an operation with which he was familiar - since it was not widely known that the bombs exploded "simultaneosly"? . . . Also, It was reported that Israeli officials were ordered not to make public comments on the London Bombing. . . . Then there is this troubling quote from Halevi, when he wrote -- "There was careful planning, intelligence gathering, and a sophisticated choice of timing as well as near-perfect execution." . . . "Near-perfect execution"? . . . How would Halevi know the bombings were executed "near-perfectly," and not "imperfectly" or "perfectly," -- on the same day of the attacks? . . . What were his criteria of "success"? . . . Did Halevi know what "perfect" execution should have entailed? . . . That comment opens up a Pandora's Box of possible explanations. . . . What does Halevi really know about the London Bombings? . . . Sharon obviously didn't muzzle Halevi in time.

New York Times covers up brutal settler attack on Palestinian boy Dear Editor:
Once again, the New York Times has failed the public in its journalistic obligations, and to New Yorkers who must rely on other sources regarding events happening in the Middle East that has earned worldwide coverage, except by your paper. Reference is specifically made to a young Palestinian boy who was almost stoned to death recently by a crazed mob of Israeli fundamentalist setters in full view of journalists and TV cameramen, where Israeli soldiers were even forced to intervene, yet it did not merit any attention in the New York Times.
This follows the usual deceptive pattern of your paper in its very scant or non-reporting on the wanton destruction, loss of life and devastation that Palestinians are forced to endure not only by the Israeli police and military authorities, but by Israeli settlers who have always had the freedom to carry out beatings, harrassment, and even murder of Palestinians without having to suffer any severe punishment.
The New York Times cannot even live up to its reputation that it "prints all the news that is fit to print," unless it deems atrocities inflicted on the Palestinian population unfit for the public to know about, while always being the first to publish anything that presents the Palestinians in a negative light.

Arik's Horror Show (Uri Avnery published this on July 2, 2005)
All the world saw the horror on TV: a Palestinian boy lying on the ground, unconscious. An Israeli soldier bending over him, not knowing what to do. A settler coming up from behind and throwing a stone at the head of the injured Palestinian. Another settler dropping a big stone on him at point-blank range. A bearded medic, also a settler, approaches the wounded boy, hesitates, and then goes away without treating him, pursued by the chants of a chorus of settler boys and girls: "Let him die! Let him die!" . . . Two days before, army bulldozers had been sent to destroy some empty, derelict structures put up ages ago by the Egyptians. A group of extreme-right boys and girls climbed on the bulldozers, broke off parts, kicked the heads of the soldiers trying to remove them, cursed and taunted the soldiers, who stood by helplessly. (Two years ago, the 23-year old American peace activist Rachel Corrie was crushed to death by such a bulldozer, when she tried to stop it from destroying a Palestinian home.) . . . The rampage reached its climax last Wednesday, when the settlers again blocked Israel's main arteries. The evening before, one of the chief rioters, one Shabtai Shiran, who introduced himself as "Chief-of-Staff North" of the hooligans, appeared on television. He was interviewed live and at length as a respected guest, giving out orders for paralyzing the country, as if he were a government spokesman. He was not arrested at the door of the studio for terrorism, incitement and conspiracy to commit a crime, but on the contrary, was invited to appear again the next evening to boast of his "victory".
