Anatomy of a CIA-DIA-Mossad Counterinsurgency operation?
There are several factors currently in play that make the US/Israeli counterinsurgency operation plausible: . . . More than 200 college professors since April 30, 2003, according to the Iraqi Union of University Lecturers, have been the targets of assassination. In addition, many intellectuals have disappeared. (See Andrew Rubin’s Bloodbath.) . . . In December, 2003, Julian Borger of the Guardian reported, "Israeli advisers are helping train US special forces in aggressive counter-insurgency operations in Iraq, including the use of assassination squads against guerrilla leaders. … US forces in Iraq’s Sunni triangle have already begun to use tactics that echo Israeli operations in the occupied territories." . . . "A new Special Forces group, designated Task Force 121, has been assembled from Army Delta Force members, Navy seals, and C.I.A. paramilitary operatives, with many additional personnel," according to Seymour Hersh. . . . Israel funded Hamas, as the UPI’s Richard Sale reported in 2002. . . . The Palestinian Authority arrested a group of collaborators who confessed they were working for Israel, posing as al-Qaeda operatives in the Palestinian territories, in December, 2002. A PA official said the collaborators sought to "discredit the Palestinian people, justify every Israeli crime and provide reasons to carry out a new (military) aggression in the Gaza Strip." . . . Israel currently runs covert ops in the Kurdish area of Iraq (see Seymour Hersh’s Plan B) . . . A CIA instruction manual entitled Psychological Operations in Guerrilla Warfare, written in the 1980s, states the following: “Bring about uprisings or shootings, which will cause the death of one or more persons … in order to create greater conflicts." . . . US military (and CIA operative) officer Major Edward Geary Lansdale’s "psy-war tactics" used in the Philippines against the Huk. Lansdale's methods "centered on measures of deception similar to those employed in the British and French colonial campaigns in Kenya and Indochina," including the creation of bogus guerilla units used to discredit the enemy. Zionists Targeting Christian Boycott of Israel
(Michael Collins Piper, AmericanFreePress.net, October 16, 2004)
At the instigation of the Zionist Organization of America, 13 members of Congress have sent a letter to the Department of Commerce demanding that action be taken to stop the American branches of the Presbyterian and Episcopalian churches from divesting in companies that do business in Israel. They have suggested that the churches are in violation of the U.S. Export Administration Act (EAA), which prohibits Americans from participating in the long-standing Arab boycott of Israel. But the campaign by the “paid politicians” against the Christian churches goes much further than this: the members of Congress are going so far as to suggest that, along with the churches, students, academic organizations and other institutions that urge Americans to disinvest in companies doing business with Israel are also in violation of the EAA. . . . The members of Congress are charging that the very act of advocating divestment from Israel is illegal. [COMMENT by Lorenzo: So much for Free Speech, I guess.] . . . A press release from the Zionist Organization of America, dated Sept. 28, 2004, claimed credit for inducing the bipartisan group of federal office holders to send the letter to the Commerce Department. . . . In the meantime, another group of congressmen, led by Rep. Howard L. Berman (D-Calif.), have sent a strongly worded letter to the Presbyterian Church USA condemning the vote to begin selective disinvestments from companies doing business with Israel. . . . Joining the members of Congress in slamming the Presbyterian and Episcopal churches is Rabbi Gary Bretton-Granatoor, the “interfaith affairs director” of the Israeli lobby group known as the Anti-Defamation League. Bretton-Granatoor said: "The Presbyterian divestment could potentially create a snowball effect and resurrect what had been a moribund issue. Now it has provoked the Anglicans [the Episcopal Church—Ed.], and we know it will not end there." . . . Although the rabbi added, in a threatening fashion, "We have to send a clear message to every church that they will have to face a united Jewish community on this issue," the fact is that even many grass-roots American Jews have urged divestment in Israel, evidently shamed by the actions of Israel against the Muslim and Christian Arab Palestinian people under its domination. . . . Following the passage of measures in July 2004 calling for selective divestment of stock in corporations within the church’s $8 billion portfolio which profit by supporting violence in Israel and Palestine, the Presbyterian Church issued a statement saying it wanted to send a strong message to the U.S., Israeli and Palestinian governments, so they could begin to "lay aside arrogant political posturing and get on with forging negotiated compromises that open a path to peace."

Doctor demands Arafat's autopsy
(Aljazeera, 13 November 2004)
Dr al-Kurdi, who has attended to Arafat for more than 25 years, told Aljazeera the circumstances of his illness and death remained unclear. . . .
"Arafat's case involved the deficiency of blood platelets, which implies that some substance that causes it may be available in his blood. Thus we decided to send him to France to continue investigating his health situation, namely the cause of the broken or deficient blood platelets. . . . "But unfortunately, we received no news from the French hospital. This is why we call for an autopsy for Arafat's body to learn more about the cause of his illness." . . . He suffered a brain haemorrhage on Tuesday. Palestinian officials said he had lain in a coma for about a week and that he had suffered liver and kidney failure. . . . French doctors have not said publicly what illness he was suffering from. . . . Dr al-Kurdi demanded full disclosure. . . . "The reasons for his illness must be disclosed by any means. The Palestinian people must demand an immediate and full investigation about the cause of his illness, the progress of his illness, his status in France and the cause of his death. . . . "All the medical investigation undertaken in France should also be disclosed," he said. . . . Asked about a possible cover-up and if he believed French doctors knew the cause of the late leader's illness and death but were withholding the information, he said: "I do not know since we received no news from the Paris physicians who used to announce very scant news about Arafat's illness. It appeared as though someone dictated the information by telling them to disclose some information and to withhold another. . . . "Here I may cite examples of Bill Clinton and Dick Cheney and other heads of state about how the the media handles every detail about their illnesses by telling everything to the public ... unlike the case for Arafat. . . . "But the only source of medical information we had was what the Palestinian officials told us. When I asked them about the eminently conflicting news about Arafat, they told me an iron curtain was set around Arafat and that his wife Suha Arafat was the only one who knew what was going on. . . . "Suha was even reluctant to see physicians from any Arab country visiting her husband with the exception of a Tunisian medical delegation which she invited to see Arafat," he said. . . . The doctor added that he was surprised at how the Palestinian president's health deteriorated after he was admitted to Percy military hospital outside Paris, noting that Arafat had arrived on his own two feet. . . . "This is what has surprised me since we had no medical report from the French physicians who could at least have told me as his private physician who is well informed of his health condition for more than 25 years. . . . "Even his wife could not know him better, but even [new PLO chairman Mahmud Abbas, also known as] Abu Mazin was not admitted to see Arafat." . . . Dr al-Kurdi lamented being excluded from the delegation to visit Arafat. . . . "Up to this moment I do not know any reason. I began to be sceptical when they invited an Egyptian medical delegation, then a Tunisian delegation as requested by Suha Arafat. . . . As for myself, I received no welcome from his officials to visit him in Ram Allah. Only on 29 October I was contacted by Palestinian officials to see Arafat. When I saw him he was able to talk but complained of poor appetite and he had red spots on his face. . . . "We had a group of blood specialists but they could not find the cause of broken blood platelets. Then I decided to send him to France for further medical investigations. . . . "I was supposed to accompany Mahmud Abbas to France. But when Abu Mazin arrived in Amman, he did not contact me and headed for Paris. . . . "I demand a full investigation on this matter because Arafat was more a friend of mine than a patient, for more than 25 years. I knew there was something wrong but I do not know what it was."

Sharon Killed Arafat Via Palestinian Collaborators
(MiddleEast.org, 11-11-04)
Amazingly the assassination of Yasser Arafat is being covered up right in front of the whole watching world. . . . By at the least a preponderence of all the evidence and circumstances Arafat was blood poisoned by the Israelis with the help of turned Palestinians and an American OK. His own personal doctor reached that diagnosis before being barred from seeing Arafat at the French military hospital and from speaking out further. After threatening to go public about the great 'conspiracy you can't imagine' of which she screamed in her short frantic call to Al-Jazeera Monday, Arafat's 'wife', Suha Tawil, appears to have been herself threatened and bribed to shut up or else. . . . The announcement of Arafat's death was withheld for some days as the Israeli and U.S.-approved new 'Palestinian leadership' worked to coordinate with those in Washington and Jerusalem, in addition to the French, just how to transfer to themselves as much of Arafat's powers and monies as they could; how to best take care of the funeral and burial with the least fanfare they could get away with; and how to position everyone for the new political pressures and disingenuous 'peace plans' now immediately ahead. . . . The Egyptian Army and secret police are all over Cairo today in a massive show of force few can remember since the assassination of Anwar Sadat in 1981. Visiting dignitaries for Friday's funeral in many cases will not even overnight in Cairo. And very few if any of the international dignataries will even be allowed to go to Ramallah in Occupied Palestine -- though truth be told again very few of the VIPs coming from the Arab 'client regimes' would even want to do so if they could. They've been given the very kinds of excuses they were looking for. . . . Arafat's body will not be even be brought to Gaza afterall; and Gazans will remain totally imprisoned behind the Israeli military walls, fences, and checkpoints unable to go to Ramallah or to prays in Jerusalem at the Noble Sanctuary. . . . And few Palestinians other than those who actually live inside now barricaded and walled-in Ramallah will even be able to attend the burial there on Saturday. . . . Much of this is certainly not as it should be; but the new 'Palestinian leadership' has been taught a special lesson with the killing of Yasser Arafat. If the Israelis and the U.S. can manage this assassination and its aftermath in such a crafty and deceptive manner, and get away with it all so easily, the message is rather clear: "You Arab and Palestinian 'leaders' have much more to fear from us (Israel and the U.S.) if you don't play ball than you do from your own people. On top of all the other leaders we have killed off or imprisoned one way or another, we can even pull off a 'Stealth Assassination' of Nobel Peace Prize winner, former most frequent foreign guest to the White House, and international famed Yasser Arafat because he refused to do as we told him he must. So beware: COMPLY, RESISTANCE IS FUTILE."

Arafat Reportedly in 'Irreversible Coma'
(Associated Press, 04 November 2004)
Yasser Arafat has lapsed into a coma in a French hospital, a senior Palestinian official said Thursday, a day after the Palestinian leader was rushed to intensive care following a sharp deterioration in his health. . . . French television station LCI quoted an anonymous French medical official as saying Arafat was in an "irreversible coma" and "intubated" a process that usually involves threading a tube down the windpipe to the lungs. The tube is often connected to a life support machine to help the patient breathe. . . . The Palestinian official would not say when Arafat lost consciousness. Two Arafat aides in Paris denied he was in a coma, but the senior Palestinian with close access to the medical team insisted Arafat was comatose. . . . A prolonged Arafat incapacitation or death could have profound impact on the Middle East. There are fears of unrest among Palestinian factions, which Arafat, viewed as a national symbol by even some who opposed him, was largely able to prevent. Furthermore, chaos in the West Bank and Gaza could make any cooperation with Israel even more difficult. . . . French hospital officials would not comment on Arafat's condition. The 75-year-old leader was rushed to the Percy Military Training Hospital outside Paris for emergency treatment Friday. Since then, his condition has largely remained a mystery, with Palestinians issuing conflicting reports. . . . Israeli media, citing Israeli intelligence officials, said Arafat suffered organ failure and lost consciousness several times. The Maariv daily said his condition was "very critical." . . . Anxious Palestinian leaders held an emergency meeting in the West Bank on Thursday. Foreign Minister Nabil Shaath said top officials were in touch with Arafat's hospital every 30 minutes to check on his condition. . . . "The Palestinian leadership is in constant meeting to follow up on the president's health," Shaath said from Ramallah, where leaders of the PLO and Arafat's Fatah movement were meeting. . . . Israeli army has a plan, called "new leaf," to deal with the fallout from Arafat's death, including possible Palestinian riots. . . . The Israeli military had not yet moved forces to anticipated problem areas, but commanders were told to be on standby. . . . Israeli security officials were meeting Thursday to study the repercussions in the Middle East should Arafat die, Israeli officials said. Top officials, including Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz and Army Chief Lt. Gen. Moshe Yaalon, were to focus their weekly meeting on reports that Arafat's health took a sudden turn for the worse, the officials said. . . . Among Israel's plans are ways to prevent Arafat from being buried in Jerusalem. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has said he would not permit Arafat to be buried in the city, claimed by both Israel and the Palestinians as their capital. . . . Cabinet official Saeb Erekat called reports Arafat had lapsed into a coma "baseless." Erekat told The Associated Press in Ramallah that Arafat's wife, Suha, told him Arafat's condition was "stable but difficult." . . . Shaath said, "He is not getting better but not getting worse either. He is being examined. He is not in a coma. There is no explanation for what has happened." . . . Mohammed Rashid, Arafat's financial adviser, also denied that Arafat was in a coma. . . . "Last night, several blood and bone marrow tests were done that required the president to be in an isolation unit for several hours, and there is no truth to any of the reports that he is in a coma," Rashid said in Paris. . . . Mohammed Dahlan, a former Palestinian security chief, accused Israel of spreading rumors. . . . "These unfounded reports are not coming from French medical teams, these are leaks from the Israeli side," he said in Paris. "Leaking such rumors will only complicate things and also complicate the situation within the Palestinian public." . . . Earlier Thursday, Palestinian officials said Arafat had lost consciousness repeatedly and described his condition as extremely serious. Efforts to reach Leila Shahid, the Palestinian envoy to France, were unsuccessful Thursday. . . . Arafat's condition worsened Wednesday and he was rushed into intensive care. Doctors do not know the cause of the blood and digestive disorders uncovered over the past few days. . . . Israel Radio reported that Mahmoud Abbas, No. 2 in the PLO hierarchy and a former prime minister, was on his way to Paris on Thursday.
